MATCH PLANTS WITH THEIR POLLINATORS

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS:

Below, you will find two charts to help you complete the activity:

  • the Pollinator Syndrome Chart and
  • the Flower Table

Read through the charts to learn about the flower traits that attract certain pollinator species. The Pollinator Syndrome Chart shows you which flower traits attract each pollinator. The Flower Table details the traits of the flowers depicted.

With this information, you can complete the Match the Pollinator and the Plants activity.

Draw a line or lines from the pollinator species to the flower shape or shapes that attract them. You may find that some flowers are visited by more than one pollinator species.

HINT: This information will also help you to choose flowers for your pollinator garden in the next step of the lesson.
